Root Ways to Unbrick?

Ok. I already have a tutorial from youtube about rooting a DROID phone with SuperOneClick. Suppose I decide to root my Bravo and it does not work as expected and bricks it. What are the possible ways that I can unbrick my phone? I know there are threads that talk about unbricking, but unfortunately I can't seem to find one that talks about unbricking my phone in particular. I am very positive that there has to be more than one way to unbrick a phone. So I just want to know my options before I do anything.

I would really appreciate any ideas. Thanks :)
 
Sorry... not being dumb, but when you say your phone is bricked, do you mean that you can't turn on at all?
 
Have you pulled the battery, waited a couple of seconds and re-inserted? Try that and let me know if it comes on

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned before that I was asking a hypothetical question. But having you said that does give me hope. Now, worse case scenario, if removing the battery does not cause my phone to revive, what else can I do?
 
Ahhhh... I misunderstood and thought that you meant that you had a brick already!

I am not familiar with your phone or the root procedure... gimme a couple of mins and I'll come back to you again!!
 
Thanks DURX. I already have a video about the rooting procedure. And it does look simple to do. But I am suspecting that there is a possible risk of bricking my phone because of rooting, due to the fact that Motorola Bravo is an old phone, possibly outdated.

Just been looking at the vid (think it was on XDA, but it's also on the unlockr - [APP]SuperOneClick v2.2 (now with zergRush and su 3.0) - xda-developers)... I really don't think you should have an issue in rooting it... I have to admit, I was worried when I rooted my phone, but just ended up biting the bullet and going for it.

Can't seem to find a great deal else on this - if you do decide to go for it, good luck let me know how it goes!!

Well, if this is the best option, then I'll go for it. It seemed to work for you. That video in the forum was not the same video I found, but I'll use it as well. I feel like I'm going to need it.

I have a different phone (Desire HD) and had to do a lot more to root my phone... there was a lot of CMD promt lines and other stuff. Generally, if there is a one click method to root your phone, then it means that it should be easier.

Well I did it. Nothing seemed to go wrong. So does anybody know how exactly I can uninstall any pre-installed apps? I thought all I needed to do was to root.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. :)
 
Ok so I figured it out. What I had to do next, in order to start uninstalling preinstalled apps was to go to the market and look for an app that does that. I came across with Root Uninstall (the free version) and it did exactly what I wanted. When I was going to open it for the first time, that was when SuperUser told me that access was granted, or something like that.

Glad I finally figured it out.

I still appreciate your help, DURX. Thank you. :)
