Weather Alert App

I found that I like almost everything about the Weatherbug app accept for the way it handles severe weather alerts. I do not want to be taken to a webpage for the details. I want to be able to pull up the details right from the app. Is there a way to either change the service used by the Weatherbug Elite app to notify me of weather alerts (I like weatherbug's accuracy, however)? Or is there a completely separate app that will ONLY notify me of local weather alerts? .....OR.....does Weatherbug have an in-app option for weather alert notifications?

Thanx for any helpful answers in advance.

My Cast Weather?

That is a great suggestion because that was actually the other app I was deciding between. Weatherbug is accurate but I really love some of features of My Cast Weather such as the radar map and the severe weather alerts and their details. I don't want to run both as the Evo already has battery issues. Man why can't there just be one perfect app?!

Why would weatherbug cop out on their weather alert feature?

I've been bouncing around between all of the weather apps lately. I do not really like any of them.

But I'm confused because you say that WeatherBug takes you to a page from the app. It never did that for me. There was an alert page right on the main screen that would expand if you touched it.

My biggest problem with WeatherBug is that it's difficult to know exactly what the current conditions are. It doesn't say "overcast", "light rain", etc.

What I didn't like about MyCast was that it's updates were always an hour or more off. If I opened it or tried to refresh, it was giving me temperature and conditions from an hour or 2 ago.

At this point, I've given up on the apps and have just bookmarked WeatherBug's web page in my browser.

I agree, I'm not sure what you're talking about loading up a web page.

Are you using the free or paid version?

Another way to look at alerts is to open up the map/radar, hit the little sprocket looking settings button, select Alert Boxes, then hit back.

Now, little different boxes should appear on your map. Press and hold a box for a pop up - select what you want to read, then just touch the screen and your back to the map.

Latest update of Elite has sorta messed up the radar - but, they're good and will fix it asap.

Weather Bug Elite is one of the few apps I have paid for. Good stuff.

I wish Pilot My-Cast Weather wasn't $120+...

I figured out what I was doing wrong. So I am now pretty satisfied with Weatherbug Elite I also wouldn't mind picking up My Cast Pilot. I am not a pilot but it looks like a thorough program. However the $129 pricetag is a bit much.
