Weather Alerts/Notifications

I have WeatherBug Elite installed on a LG Lucid. I keep getting Severe Weather Alerts/Notifications even though in the Preferences, under both "Alert Notification" and "Weather Notification" I do not have either of these checked. Anyone know who to stop these alerts?
 
Uninstall weather bug & go with a different service. I use beautiful widgets for the clock & weather. The weather comes from accu weather & gives me a 5 day forecast. When I tried using our local fox news weather's app which was great except for now they give every emergency broadcast through your phone, so I was getting every code Adam, every weather alert for counties around mine, bad air quality alerts. I took that off real quick. There are better services that you don't have to dick around with.
 
if it's the new alert system, you need to opt out. Was supposed to go in effect the end of June.
The system is supposed to do weather alerts, Amber alerts, and President alerts. You can opt out of the first two. Supposedly. I haven't see anyone post where to opt out yet. Keep checking on NWS, and they don't have it. Neither does carrier.

I also use Weatherbug Elite, and only get the red triangle when I open the app. Nothing in notifications - I'm also GSM.
 
I use Weatherbug Elite, but have it set for manual refresh to save on battery. I use "Pro Weather Alerts" to which you can customize the alerts you want notice of and how to be notified. It can even follow you. Works really well. I do still have alerts on in the Weatherbug, but they only come up when I refresh it.
