Help Weather and Calender Widget not working

Anyone having issues with the weather and calender widgets on their LTEvo? phone is not rooted and when i try to create the widget for either the stock weather app or Calendar pad it goes through the motions of creating it but nothing shows up on screen. Any advice or suggestions?

When you select the widget, an animation ought appear showing it going up to a homescreen. After it does, tap on that homescreen, report back what you see.

I have done that many times and when i go to the screen nothing is there. It sits with the loading circle going around and around and never actually creates the widget... I have sent info to HTC but guess i have to wait to c what happens when they release an update for the phone. Kinda disappointed with the whole thing really. Never preordered a phone with such hype and was so let down with these little issues. (seems to be a lot of little issues with this Evo)

Please hold down your power button for at least 10 seconds - that will force you into a hardware reboot. If you have a bit stuck in memory somehow, that ought to clear it up.

Your data and settings will be safe - this is the equivalent of a battery pull on earlier models.

Thanks EarlyMon but still does same thing... Hopefully when an update comes out this will be fixed.

Are you long-pressing a spot on a homescreen sufficiently large to hold the widget you want, to launch the personalization/widget tool?

I don't hold hope for a software fix to this, I haven't seen this reported elsewhere.
