Help Weather Reset to default city

When I go out of mobile service (as I work away on boats this happens often). I have a hot spot running from my laptop. To still use apps. My Desire S goes back to Singapore the HTC weather widget tells me my current city is Singapore, this is where I brought the phone. This after I left an Australian town that had mobile coverage. The GPS is turned off. Help!!
