on my d1, which didn't have blur, i had weatherbug free as my widget. I noticed blur has a widget. Does anyone know if there is a difference between updates, battery life, etc. I see blur is from accuweather, I am in NE so none of them are really correct...

I've never used weatherbug. I found the Blur weather app to be more stable than the Android 2.2 weather app/widget. Anyone else?

I've been using Beautiful Widgets linked to Accuweather and I haven't noticed any difference between that and the pre-installed Blur widget. Either get my recommendation.

I use the Blur 1x2 widget when docked. It's elegant and accurate for me, and a simple touch brings up a slightly larger conditions screen which is easier to see when I am waking up in the morning. But I like Fancy Widget or Beautiful Widgets on the standard desktop--both have a clock with the weather. Just DON'T get the Weather Channel app/widget! It will bombard you with "Weather Alerts" every 15 minutes or so in your Notification Bar. Very annoying!
