Weather Widgets/ Battery Drain

What is the best option for a weather widget that has the least battery drain. Are the Beautiful Widgets ok on battery drain?

I use Weatherbug right now cause it allows me to adjust how often it updates which helps with battery life, but its a very ugly widget. It does provide the most detailed forcast, but not sure if anyone had a suggestion for anything bettery while also not killing battery life.

I use Weather Bug Elite and not their widget.

I use Fancy Widgets and display the time and date on eache home screen in a 2x1 area.
Clicking the time takes me to Calendar
Clicking the date takes me to Weather Bug Elite in the current location

I use beautiful widgets, it's the best weather widget imo. You can also adjust how often it updates, I have it set for every hour. It's a must for have for me and it really adds to the look of the phone. It doesn't seem to have much affect on the battery as far as I've noticed.

Same for me. I use Beautiful Widgets and I have mine set to update every 15 mins and it doesn't really affect battery life much. The more widgets that update the more your battery drain. Really depends on what it's doing.

Really? I find that strange cause I ran Beautiful Widgets on my OG Droid and Bionic and never had issues with battery drain. I ran Beautiful Widgets for over a year on the OG Droid without issues. It's mostly due to browsing/games/Pandora that drained my battery on the OG Droid.

Thats a really good idea to use the beautiful widget to display the time and current conditions, then to use one of the shortcuts to open up the weatherbug app for a full forecast.

Thanks

Also look at Fancy Widgets. I use that one. For the time/date dosplay you can assign separate click actions to m hour, minute. date, and temperature. I only show time and date. Clicking either part of the time for me brings up the calendar. Clicking the date brings up my weather progrtam.
