Help Web Sites are Dim on Galaxy S3

getravel

Lurker
I just purchased the Galaxy S3 and I love it. The only issue I have with it is that the background lighting dims on numerous web sites - making it difficult to read the text. I''ve manually set the display light intensity to the max, but this had minimal affect on the brightness of the web sites. Any ideas on how the brightness can be increased when viewing these web sites?

Metfanant, thank you so much. The background lighting on the Web sites is no longer dim.

Now that my dim lighting issue has been resolved, I think I'll get some Dim Sum for lunch today.

Make sure you select the default color profile and that 1, 2, or 3 are not selected as it will still be dimmer than it could be even if you disable auto brightness.

Also, if you engage power saving mode, this is what sets that field in the browser. If you set it back to default, turn off power saving mode, and then turn it back on, the setting will back to #3.

I'm using power saving mode, but I use chrome instead as my default browser. I also installed Lux and defined my own auto brightness levels.
