web video failures - Firefox, possibly others

I'm having a prob with embedded web video after playing one via Firefox or if one fails the rest will fail it also affects YouTube app after aswell and the vids just cycle in the loading screens, needing a tab restart?

YouTube itself doesn't cause a fail in the app or browser until ones happened else where, after the fail tho the YouTube app / in browsercan brick the device until ext power is plugged in..

Mod note - moved to Applications, after chatting with thequeenscheese, please keep it here - EM :)

Have you tried clearing the browser cache?

There's an option to do that within the browser settings and/or you could hit the clear cache button under Settings .. Apps .. All.

Pretty odd. I'm not sure, but I *think* that Firefox and Chrome use separate engines from one another.

Most browsers in Android use the underlying webkit engine, the one that's cleanest about it is Naked Browser.

I guess we can assume that it's neither of those, it's something involving Flash or mediaservices as YouTube gets borked after it starts.

You might try clearing cache and/or data if possible from Google Play Services and your mediasever.

Expect your galleries and playlists to be wonky after clearing mediaserver - give it 15 to 30 minutes on its own to repopulate everything.

As you're rooted, always a good idea to clear cache and Dalvik from recovery at the first sign of troubles, can't hurt.
