Hi all
I am newby at android programming and trying to develop simple a web service application.
Here is my code :
[HIGH]
private OnClickListener makeCalculation = new OnClickListener()
{
public void onClick(View v)
{
tv = (TextView)findViewById(R.id.textView3);
ed = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.editText1);
ed.setText("helloworld!"); // works fine until here
try
{
SoapObject Request = new SoapObject(NAMESPACE, METHOD_NAME); // crashes here and returns "unfortunately ...application is stopped" error.
/*Request.addProperty("Celsius","30");
SoapSerializationEnvelope envelope = new SoapSerializationEnvelope(SoapEnvelope.VER11);
envelope.dotNet = true;
envelope.setOutputSoapObject(Request);
AndroidHttpTransport httpTransport = new AndroidHttpTransport(URL);
SoapPrimitive result = null;
httpTransport.call(SOAP_ACTION, envelope);
result = (SoapPrimitive) envelope.getResponse();
tv.setText(result.toString());
*/
}
catch (Exception e)
{
tv.setText(e.getMessage());
}
}
};
[/HIGH]
I also searched for any solution over internet but the solutions did not work that i found, ie : stackoverflow.com / questions / 10324529 / creating-new-soapobject-blows-up-android-app answer did not work.
here is the output of logcat and error lines
