Help Weird Android Wear Play Store Glitch

Update: Google Assistant also says 'something went wrong. Please try again' but other apps that need a connection, such as weather, are fine. Just Assistant and play store.

Odd indeed! Seems like all your issues have to do with Google.

They work fine for a while after clearing the cache/data bit, but the issue returns right?

I'm grasping at straws now about what it could be. Are there any apps on the watch that get redownloaded after a factory reset, that could be causing the issue?

Yes, you are right. I don't believe there are any apps that could be causing trouble. It is a Verizon watch, so it has Verizon messages and my Verizon, and I have the calling setup app, because I have not setup calling, but other than that, it just seems like the stock apps.

At this point, after numerous data/cache clearing and numerous factory resets, I think there is some glitch that just won't go away. Hardware, software glitch I don't know.

Is it possible to submit it for warranty?

Hi. Sorry, I just saw this. I am now getting a cant connect to play store (RH-01) error. Yes, I can submit it for warranty. As that is my last resort, I am going to factory reset once more, and just see if that error goes away. If not, I can either contact google or use my warranty and just try and get a new one. I assume using the warranty is the obvious correct answer, but if you think I should contact google (as it is seemingly software, since other wifi apps work) I can do that.

I think trying to contact Google is like pissing up a rope to put it bluntly, sorry. :o

Just googled that error you are getting and perhaps something to look into before going to warranty?

I am probably going to use my warranty and get a new, one, unless you have any other ideas. This has been the strangest tech experience I've ever had...

Yeah, do that as I am completely befuddled on why this is happening.

It's weird, isn't it? After factory resets, clearing data... Never heard of this before. I will use my warranty and update you in a couple days when I get the new one.

That was it! Not sure if I'll be able to keep family link off, but at least we figured out the error. I'll update with any additional issues
?? So the fact that you have Family Link installed won't allow Google PlayStore to work?

I'm a tad confused.

And by the way, the reply by John Bowdre is fellow mod @codesplice according to his homepage on his profile :)
Maybe he can make some sense of this :)
