Weird app/icon on screen!

Hello, so this weird icon appeared on my device over a night. Cant remove it or anything. Could this be some kind of virus?

That's just a generic android icon.
Long press it and check the app info

I cant, when click view info then it starts to open and suddenly closes.

Do you remember what app used to be there? This is the sort of thing that can happen if an app is removed but not cleanly uninstalled, e.g. if you move it to SD then change SD cards (though I'd still expect the launcher to let you remove it).

Nope havent installed anything. Woke up in the morning and it was suddenly there

Can you long press it and then trash it, then see if it comes back?

That's odd indeed.
Have you checked your installed app list to see if anything is there that doesn't look familiar?
Does it remain there after a reboot?

Is that a third party launcher? Refresh that.

Yes, it is a generic android icon. When someone has developed an app with Android Studio, this is default icon for his/her app.
Settings - Apps, check your app list to find that strange app.
