Help Weird Audio Issue Galaxy S5

I have the s5 active with AT&T, but my friend had audio issues with her LG G3 so she ended up getting a Galaxy s5. With the LG, she could hear others loud and clear, but others had a hard time hearing her. Now, she is having a problem with hearing other people. . Someone left her a voice mail, and you can BARELY hear what they are saying (almost as if they are literally breaking up with a bad connection), but that same voice mail on speaker phone is perfectly clear! It would make sense that if it were a bad connection both speaker and listening normally would be broken up, but it's not. Everything else with the phone is fine.

If it's in warranty, return the device. It sounds (or not) like a hardware problem

Thanks - additionally one thing I forgot to mention something else she's having a problem with. Email delay coming into her device. Someone sends her an email and it takes a couple of hours to come in...her LG she said they were pretty immediate...I think she is going to return the phone.....I feel so bad for her because she has been through 3 LG phones with audio problems, and, finally - hoping the Samsung would be better...and now this......I have the s5 active and have never had a single problem.

I've just got an Edge and have read some horror stories but mine is trouble free and way better than my S4 in every area including battery life.
I think your friend just got a dud.
