Okay here is my question.. I live in Erie pa I originally had the EVO 4g and when the 3d EVO was released I got it on day 1.. now my friend that works in a rough neighborhood in Erie pa at the local 1 of 3 walmarts he told me recently he accidentally turned 4g on, on his phone and it showed that Verizon had 4g in Erie pa and until today Verizon didn't publish this on their website..so out of curiosity I just drove by there to check this out for myself cause he said Sprint has 4g there too.. well I googled it and checked sprints website many times and no information of Erie pa having 4g service!?!?! Well just now I checked it out and this 4g service I was told about definitely does exist I can't believe it lol :-) :-) :-) but my question is why isn't it published on the website!? It's not the best 4g compared to neighboring cities iv tested in but it definit

Oh okay that makes sense but it just irritates me because Erie isnt a huge city but if you have ever heard of lake Erie I live in the city that owns that lake!! So It's decent size and well known for the most part so if the set up is up and running why not make it 100%? Ya know? It's already there.. :(

Yeah It's just strange to me why start something and leave it left for dead it seems to me like that would be a waste of time and money more than just advancing it ya know? Cause I'm sure my area isn't the only area!

I have a rogue 4g hotspot in my town too. I just started checking around town and found it on my own. I mapped it out using Sensorly from the market and let it upload the details so others could find it. At the same time I found out someone had mapped a hotspot in a neighboring town I go to alot too by looking at the map in Sensorly.

I've checked all over town and this is the only one I had. It kind of correlates the answer above that they had to set up in the areas they serve for some reason...

Clearwires map shows most of the small sites, Sprints only shows the large areas. I found a few in Wisconsin that only cover a couple blocks with good 4g, but that way they can tell the fcc they have service in that city.
