Help Weird Icon? Spyware?

Anyone know what this icon is on my phone? It opens/shows when I open Snapchat and Instagram. It's the one on the left hand side of my group of icons on the right.
Tracker/spyware app?

Edit: seems like a variant of some sort of screen cast app icon whether it be that particular app, or something similar....perhaps chromecast or something?

Yes, a casting app of some sort seems likely to me. And it's on the right hand side of the notification bar, where you get system and connection icons rather than the left where app icons appear.

It would be very poorly-designed spyware that advertised its operation this way.

Digging a little further, it just may be chromecast. Either way, I'd venture to say that when you open instagram or whatever, it gives you the option to cast it to your TV if desired.
