Help Weird Issue

Hi everybody little problem I have had today I can't seem to open texts from the stock texting app . I can only view them on handcent seems to work now . Anybody have a clue why this is happening ?. I called VM and they didn't help they said they're sending me a new phone that wasn't the solution I was hoping for though , thanks .

Hi , OB . I receive the text , but it won't open it . at least handcent seems to be working , but I'm hoping for a fix. It seems to be the stock texting app. Any ideas ?. Thanks in advance .

on the handcent app did you set handcent as the default txt app ?? check under settings on handcent try switching the default to the stock txt app ... if that doesnt work back up all your txt messages and then force close the stock txt app , clear the cache and data and then see if that helps

I have this problem occasionally, but not all the time, and I've been trying to figure out why too. It used to happen once in a whil on my One V as well. Usually after making a few attempts, though, my messages will finally open.

Do you have a lot of messages saved? My first thought was that having a large amount of messages saved was somehow affecting the ability of the app to open a new message. The other thing I wondered was whether the last update (from a few weeks ago) was causing problems - some people have said there were minor tweaks to the messaging app, and I never noticed any trouble before then.

Hi everybody!, update cleared the cache on the stock text app and no luck. Apparently vm is sending me a replacement phone , but due to it being processed this past weekend it hasn't been shipped to fed ex?, nor does it have a tracking # yet?. Supposedly he said I should get it by tuesday or wednesday?. we'll see . Any help would be appreciated in case this does happen again .
