Help weird problem LG Esteem

when I'm home on my wi fi my phone will sometimes stop receiving e mails, I have to switch to 4g then back to we fi and it's ok for a while. this if I don't check or notice it kills my battery faster. Is there something wrong with my settings that it wont stay on wi fi?

also my cable company offers live tv app. on the app it says my phone will accept live tv, I dl the app and it wont show live, the cable company can't help me

Can the app support Gingerbread? And are you rooted?

Not rooted I did download Ice Cream Sandwich But it still says gingerbread I'm not good at these things lol

Lol not to worry. Well since you are not rooted have you tried resetting your 4G?

I don't know how also I don't want to chance losing my phone on my phone when I click on the ice cream icon it says get apax app I click on apax and it says my phone doesn't support it I also downloaded ADW launcher that didn't do anything either except give me options for wallpapers and stuff
