Help Weird problem with cases?

I seem to be able to replicate this problem with a TPU case and an Otterbox commuter. Whenever people call me and I have the case on the phone people on the other line can hear themselves echo on their end. It's a rather odd problem but removing the case causes this to not exist. Anyone else have this?

I don't think I've ever held something so fine as this phone in a Seidio Surface case.
