Hi,

I've got a second handed i9000 and had to reset it to factory settings. what happened after that is my phone cannot connect to any network. I'm not talking about internet, but simple phone connection, I simply have no reception. it happens with several sim cards that I tried, and searching for a new network leads to nothing. black screen.
has anyone ever hear of such a problem? what can I do? and where can I get the phone fixed?

thanks!

Your phone might have been blacklisted by the networks, call your provider and ask them to check this out.

They will ask for the imei.

Reason for blacklisting could be due to the phone reported as stolen etc...

If it worked before then it can be more then one reason why it dont work.
Also There is a way to fix it, but well its very dangerous to do and I will not write it here and if you dont know much about the phone then you should not do it at all.
But you can always try to flash a new firmware to see if it works.

Hi Damian,

How do I flash a new firmware? can I do it by my self? if I go to samsong service centers can they do it for me?

Well I can do it in my sleep, but I dont know what you can.
But its not hard at all.
The good thing with the phone is that is almost impossibly to brick.
But I guess you find a guide here or snappy can maybe show you where.
Or you can come to my site and I and other will help you.

Sure samsung service can do it for you but if they dont find any wrong then you need to pay for it.
