Help Weird Problem?

Since you guys were so helpful with my other problem... :)

My phone just turned off and then turned back on by itself, not something I haven't seen before with pretty much any phone I've had, so I didn't think anything of it ... until I noticed that it KEPT doing it. The phone will start up with the little "Samsung" screen for a few seconds, and then power off again. I took the battery out (always my first resort in these sorts of hiccups lol), and put it back and started the phone up again. Same thing, except now the phone keeps vibrating, one short a few seconds space and then three short. I'm assuming this means something? The screen is blank and pushing any of the keys doesn't do anything.

Anyone?

Oh, and the phone is NOT rooted, I don't quite trust my technology skills that much, lol. It's all factory and only about 3 weeks old.

This sometimes means the battery terminals are not making proper contact with the phones terminals and any slight shaking will interupt the power. Try cleaning the battery and phone terminals with an eraser and check to make sure they make proper contact. If its not that lets hope its not a hardware issue but since its less than 3 weeks old you can still exchange it under warranty.

Have you dropped your phone before? Has there been any possibility of water damage? It sounds like an issue with the battery to me, I suggest doing what was mentioned above.

If that doesn't work, try taking the battery out and connecting the phone to the charger and turn it on, and let me know if it still has that problem, if it doesn't then its most like the battery causing the problem in which case you can just buy a new one but if it still does it with the battery taken out then it may be a problem with the phone.
