weird thing happened to phone this morning

i woke up this morning and tried to get on one of my news apps and it wont let me. it wont let me sign onto the internet or any app that requires the mobile network. my mobile network was shutoff and when i click it on in the setting it says turning on. its been doing this for about 45 min now. i tried to use my wifi and that doesnt even work. has this happened to anyone else? could a tower be down in my area? what else should i try?

update: its went from working for 30 seconds back to the mobile connection saying turning on again and not working.
 
ya man i just got off the phone with the lady and she said they are getting blasted with calls from the vegas area. also just bsin with the guy he said he didnt think it was 2.1 coming out and thought he said we were getting 2.3 lol no one truely knows just that its "coming soon"

[edit] what's funny is i was walking over to get some breakfast when up popped the 3G, I was like cool and was signing into the forum when, poof it went away. 30 seconds of TEASE
 
mine is out too, and i'm in vegas. kind of relieved to see other vegas folk having this problem, at least we know it's not our phones
 
Just got off the phone with a rep, he told me the data should be back by 9am tomorrow :( I can't go a whole day without data! lol
 
i'm not in vegas but i have had a problem on the leaked android 2.1 v3 with my wifi system at my house. sometimes it works and sometime si have to restart my whole phone for it to work at all...

could this be an excuse to get a new droid eris from verizon wireless?
 
What the hell 9am? My 3G comes on for a few seconds and then goes off, and then comes back in a couple hours and goes off... sheesh
 
My daughter is in Vegas and called earlier today complaining that her internet was not working also. I was trying to find out why when I found this post. It's a drag you guys won't get data until 9am tomorrow.
 
I'm not sure if it's back on, or if this did the trick, but I did the airplane mode switch and now I'm able to get online.
