Help Weird Wifi / App problem

[healthhabits]

When I log into a public wifi (starbucks, etc) with my Galaxy, I stop receiving app notifications - samsung messaging, gmail, twitter, FB, etc...

When I turn off the wifi connection, I get a flood of notifications & sms messages

Anyone heard of this???

BTW...this problem doesn't occur with my home wireless network

Can you use FB, GMail while connected to the WiFi networks?

Nope - Neith Gmail or Facebook works when connected to a public wifi - Facebook says "Can't Find a Secure Location"
