Help Well, i think i mess up... Spectrum will not boot at all

vexcon52

Lurker
So i was installing cyanogenmod 10 to my spectrum all was going well until i got stuck into the cwm bootloop, i didn't know but i entered cwm the manual way with power+vol- and got stuck in the loop, i flashed 3 different loop fixes but they all did nothing. i decided to try one more and without paying attention it was for the Proclaim and Illusion...... now sadly all the phone does is vibrate constantly when i hit the power button and the only way to make it stop is pull the battery or hold power+vol down. The screen does absolutely nothing and the touch buttons do not light up. Is there any hope for this thing or is it bricked? :(
Thanks so much in advance!
Dan

It's soft-bricked, but there are devices that can unbrick it. Bring it into a good repair shop.

See if you can get into download mode:
Pull battery, reinsert battery, hold down vol + and vol - and plug in the USB cable. If you can get into download mode, it can be repair with the LG tool for free. If not, you're looking at a harder fix than is worth dealing with.

Right now, a Spec can be had used on ebay used for $55. Not exactly an expensive thing.

1: Vol Up + Vol Dn + Power, hold until it says Download Mode
2: Connect to Computer with USB
3: LG Mobile Support Tool (see the all in one root guide thread)
4: Options Menu -> Emergency Recovery
5: That will restore stock V9.
6: You still have to Vol Dn+Power and Wipe the Data partition after, unless you bricked stock V9, at which it will just boot and you didn't lose data.
