My mates kid was in the house last night and I gave him my N1 to play with, playing that wotsit thunder 2 racing game. A few phone calls came in whilst he was playing and at some point the screen got locked to my pattern.

Daft little bugger had to many goes at unlocking the screen and hard locked it.

Never having got that far through bad guesses it was all new to me, but a nice message pops up requesting your Google account details.

I typed them in, no luck. I type them in again, no luck. I had a quick Google on my laptop... oh dear... recognised bug... try using Googlemail instead of gmail.com. No luck. Ok... reset my account.. new password here we go... no luck.

Had to reset my phone, 10 minutes before hitting the town. Spent to the first 30 minute sat in the pub re-building my phone.

Awesome. that's one hell of a bug Google.

It's a crap bug, but yes, this. Kid + expensive gadget = NO.

True, a kid's much more expensive than a phone. Also easier to resell if you ditch them in the slave trade or harvest the organs, though I'm not sure about the profit margin.

Anyways wow that's a serious bug. I'm gonna think twice about letting my friends try to guess my unlock screen pattern now.

I thought the child could be trusted to not be an idiot. Apparently I was wrong. To top it all off I've been taken down with the Noro virus and I've been sick for days. Awesome!

The nexus one is all recovered now but still... quite a bug to have slipped through testing.

I do note in retrospect that I had WiFi turned on. My WAP is a bit crappy and sometimes the connection fails to it. I'm wondering if I'd managed to get out if range if the phone would have flipped to 3G and actually tested the credentials against the server?
