We're getting LG Pay

Finally got LG Pay on my LG V40, which just got the Android 10 update (surprise, LG a little early on this).

LG Pay has limited banks so I can't use it yet. It is similar to Samsung Pay so that is a good thing.

So, how'd the update go?

I haven't had a chance to look at everything but the Settings page changed.

This came out so fast that T-Mobile hasn't even provided a changelog yet. I really would like to see what the changes and enhancements are.

Oh it's on the April 2020 Security patch now

Dark (Night) mode is here! Weren't you waiting for that?

Just be careful. There is a major change in the way alarms are run in apps. My calendar app uses full page alarm windows which are no longer allowed. (Except in specific circumstances) I may not update when Verizon puts it out. The jury is still out.

What calendar app do you use?

I use Pimlical. IMO it's the best calendar app out. It can be as simple or complex as you want. I can adjust the time periods, colors, alarms, and more. I beta test it for the author. Here is part of my day:

It's been around for years and is constantly updated and support is great. I know I sound like I sell it, but no. I have 4 apps that I can't do without; Pimlical, Textra (sms), Smart Keyboard Pro, and Button Mapper.(for Google Assistant key)

Yep.
I've gotten a dark theme, from Google play, and use a couple of different workarounds now, though.
Considering what Mark's posted about the problems with the update, I might choose to decline.

I guess it depends on the apps you use. I usually love to get the latest updates and see how things have changed. But this is the first time that I'm worried. I depend heavily on alarms and notifications because my short term memory is so bad. I know, for sure, some of the issues and I'm worried about the ones I don't know about. I decided to leave it up to the author of my calendar. If he wants me to update to "10" to troubleshoot the alarm issues, I will. If he says it isn't necessary, then I'm going to hold off a little. (If I can) I'm also concerned that I might get updated without consent like the recent security updates.
