Wet Phone 2 weeks old.

Ok so it was raining yesterday and I slipped on my way into school pickup, had phone in back pocket, got wet. tried rice overnight. went to vodaphone this morn, and they said the insurance claims to be done online, fair enough, but when reading the excess it is $250, my phone is only 2 weeks old, not happy, will NOT be paying that much for and excess fee, when I dont even think the phone is worth that much ... WHAT is the point of paying insurance with such HUGE EXCESSES???? NOT HAPPY!!!

Welcome to AF :D

Sorry to hear your phone got damaged. Without knowing what phone you have there is no way that I can guess how much it is worth.

The amount you have to pay for an insurance claim is set when you purchase the policy. Does the phone work? If it doesn't you could choose to not pay the deductible and not have a phone which is the situation you would be in had you not purchased the insurance...just a thought.

Mind me asking, what sort of dollars what country? Was thinking USD, but Vodafone doesn't operate it's own network in the US. I know they own part of Verizon Wireless though.
