Well I just got my HERO on 10-22-09...I had the HTC TOUCH PRO. So far this is the best phone. A lot better then the Instinct when it first came out. So I was trying to see if anyone has ordered any accessories as of yet. I already had this case when I got my Touch Pro. It not only holds the Sprint HTC HERO with room for a protective case, but also a place for your drivers license and up to 3 credit cards or credit type cards, like a membership card

I know the HERO comes with a data cable and wall charger that you plug in the data cable into....but the one I have with my TOUCH PRO is worn and I plan on selling my touch pro and also I can take this charger to work until they have a desktop charger for it.

When you get that, please post a review! I've been using something similar (actually an old Palm V case, so yeah, old), and it's OK, but this looks a little better. The Amazon reviews are definitely mixed bag, so I'd be really interested in what you think of it.
 
I have been using this case for a year. I think its great. Hero has room to move. But like many others I traded in the hero for the moment. This case will also fit the moment. At first the sleeves where you put the credit cards and your drivers license are stiff. You just need to pull them in and out a few times to get used to it. But once you do it's great.
 
Cool, good to know. At $3, it's a safe bet that even if I don't really like it then I can skip coffee for a day and make the money back. How do you carry it? Belt loop? Pocket? Just in your hand?
 
I've got a soft rubber HTC cover from best buy. It's great. Fit's perfect. I also got an Invisible shield for the screen. I love invisible shields for durability but it makes the screen wavey/ dimply looking. Not a huge issue and loads easier to apply than sticker types.
 
i wanted an extra USB/charger cable

i've got a car charger that plugs into the cig lighter - but its literally just a plug - all its got is a USB jack

perfect for plugging in the USB/charger cable that comes w/ the hero



but.. i've only got one charger cable

would be *great* to have an extra - how much does that cost??



well.. truth is, they don't just sell those! (yet!)

so, went into sprint, asking for one, and they were cool - they just GAVE me one! they couldn't find one for sale.. so they just went into the back and found one!

It's been posted before, but a standard mini usb cable works just fine with this phone.
 
1. Rubberized cover. - Don't use it. Makes phone to bulky.

2. Slide in horizontal belt case. - Scuffing the polished metal on bottom of phone - don't use it - in pocket bare now.

3. Screen Protector from NakedCell - eBay - Works well

4. 2 OEM HTC Car chargers made for the Diamond - T-Mobile $5 each on eBay!!!

If you go to Monoprice you can get USB cables (and a handful of other types) way on the cheap. I got three 10ft mini USB cables for $1.30 each. It cost more to ship, and they work great with charging, syncing, and any other device. And no, I don't get paid for the advert, but they deserve it. :)

I got a screen protector and silicone case both from ebay. The screen protector took all of 1 minute to install and it was 3.30, the one I bought for my Dare was 29.99 at BestBuy and it works just as well as that one.

My first and foremost purchase will be a body glove snap on case, I had one for my old motorola hint and LOVED it. I dropped the phone quite a few times, once on the asphalt and it completely absorbed the shock.

Also a cheapo screen protector from ebay.

That 'in your face' thing is very cool! I'm going to look into that, for one reason only, sprint navi. I have a tom tom and love how it can mount on my dash, I am actually thinking of selling it though, since the sprint navi in the phone will work just as well. I'm one of those people who can't see having 2 devices that will do one thing (other than cameras maybe, lol).

Actually, it also might come in handy for watching TV via the sprint TV app. Long car rides or what not, I can put on the Disney channel for my kids and not worry about them putting their sticky hands all over the phone.
