Apps What app development software to use?

Hi
I am about to start my first app development for Android. I need to interface using Bluetooth or BLE, and include some simple app screens with slider controls, buttons etc.

Can anybody advise what is a good development package to use for an Android developer newbie?

I have embedded C and assembler experience (many years) but know nothing about Android.

Not able to get the question. You want to know on which platform to start developing android apps? If i m right , then u can go for eclipse

I think best way to start with developing android apps is to start with java and as Anirudh23 said, use eclipse development environment.
