Hi.
I use this music player on my S4.
It's basic and easy and simple.
My Dad has dementia, and I've bought him a 10" tablet.
At the moment he's not too bad, and could cope with a player like this.
Everything else I've found is too complicated.
Equalisers, list of film icons as well as albums etc.
I've looked in my apps manager and it doesn't list it.
If I can't get this app, can anyone recommend an app that just lists albums and plays songs.
Cheers.
Paul

While I don't recognize that particular logo, there's no shortage of really good media players on Google Play to choose from. I personally like 'MX Player'. Not only can you alter the view options, your Dad might find 'thumbnails' a good option instead of just text listings, but there's also a number of nested options in the 'Settings' you might want to go through to make things easier for him. A lot of the third-party media players have lots of innovative options and it's not necessarily that the default Android apps are lacking, it's probably more a matter of the target audience is most consumers just use what's there as is.

My heartfelt support and best wishes go to you and your family BTW, my Dad had Alzheimer's and it got to the point where he couldn't even remember how to work just the on and off switch on a table top radio.

I would guess Samsung's own music player that comes with the S4, that's why it's not listed in user installed apps. Which won't be available on anything but a Samsung device.

That is the stock software for the s4. You can turn it off, but you can't uninstall it. As mentioned, you can easily download any number of great players on the Google Play Store. There are some nice free ones as well so you don't need to pay to have a simple working playback option on your phone.
