I don't think I am always the brightest tool in the shed but sometimes I take a look at what other people have said and thank God that I am not that stupid or idiotic :)

I think for me one of the most dumbest sayings of all time is this one:

"Everything that has been invented has been invented!"

"Charles H. Duel"

Number 1! This one I think takes first prize :D

But it also looks like some people say it is actually apocryphal :D

"My bad." And almost EVERYONE seems to be using it, proving they don't realize that WORDS MEAN THINGS.

"Bad" is not a noun. It's not a thing one can possess. "Bad" is an adjective that describes a noun (person, place or thing). You can have a bad day; you can have a bad dream... you can even have a bad beer. I've had them. It's possible. But you cannot have a bad!

So when people look at me and say "my bad", I always ask them: "your bad? You have a bad? Please show this bad to me, as I've never seen one."

It seems trivial and petty... but again: WORDS MEAN THINGS. And if people sound ignorant when they speak, many people will assume they ARE ignorant. So try alternatives like "my mistake" or "my fault". Let's not destroy the English language any more than it has already been trashed.

People have gotten used to saying 'my bad' and I don't think they would start saying things like that
 
"People die if they are killed."

Is a quote/meme I keep seeing from time to time. I think it came from an anime or cartoon so not sure if that counts but its hilariously idiotic nonetheless.
