What are these?

I recently found an Avid with a smashed screen, when I removed it I found 2 small things to the left of the speaker. (could be sensors of some sort) I was just wondering what they are any ideas? I dont think they can be seen with the screen on.

One should be a proximity sensor - during a call it detects when the phone is being held up to your ear and turns the screen off to save battery power.

The other is probably the notification light.

The far right is the notification light, the one just right of the speaker is the camera, and the one on the left is most likely the proximity sensor.

It is like a Terminator, when you peel off the 'plastic shell', you get a very ugly appearance of your phone's 'face'.
