My Boost Marquee tends to heat up when I play music or just go on Facebook and I would set it to 600mhz on conservative but it barely helps it would go down from

try different governors and schedulers this worked for me. also try a different kernal

What are schedulers? and isn't hyper kernel 3.0 from Bloodawn the only kernel.for the marquee?
