i love crime and scary novels

Heat was my first Patterson novel and it was DAMN good. I really enjoyed it. DEA agent in prison gets let out if he goes undercover to bust a cult.

As far as scary goes my boy ballistic said Jonathan Mulberry is a great writer, haven't read him yet but have some of his books.

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there's either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills... and there's nothing wrong with Joe Ledger's skills. And that's both a good, and a bad thing. It's good because he's a Baltimore detective that has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new taskforce created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can't handle. This rapid response group is called the Department of Military Sciences or the DMS for short. It's bad because his first mission is to help stop a group of terrorists from releasing a dreadful bio-weapon that can turn ordinary people into zombies. The fate of the world hangs in the balance....

Joe Ledger and the DMS (Department of Military Sciences) go up against two competing groups of geneticists. One side is creating exotic transgenic monsters and genetically enhanced mercenary armies; the other is using 21st century technology to continue the Nazi Master Race program begun by Josef Mengele. Both sides want to see the DMS destroyed, and they've drawn first blood. Neither side is prepared for Joe Ledger as he leads Echo Team to war under a black flag.

Saturday 09:11 Hours: A blast rocks a London hospital and thousands are dead or injured… 10:09 Hours: Joe Ledger arrives on scene to investigate. The horror is unlike anything he has ever seen. Compelled by grief and rage, Joe rejoins the DMS and within hours is attacked by a hit-team of assassins and sent on a suicide mission into a viral hot zone during an Ebola outbreak. Soon Joe Ledger and the Department of Military Sciences begin tearing down the veils of deception to uncover a vast and powerful secret society using weaponized versions of the Ten Plagues of Egypt to destabilize world economies and profit from the resulting chaos. Millions will die unless Joe Ledger meets the this powerful new enemy on their own terms as he fights terrorwith terror.

I keep waiting to see the response after someone reads one of his books, lmao... The Pine Deep Trilogy was insane and his Joe Ledger books (Patient Zero, The Dragon Factory) are epic bad a$$ reads IMO. His next Joe Ledger novel The King of Plagues is supposed to be out 3/29/2011. He's putting books out about 12-14 months apart it seems. I keep saying it, if you like Horror-Action-Scifi set in modern times you should like any of his work...

I just discovered Stieg Larsson and I currently reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It started a little slow but I'm almost finished and it has been an incredible ride.

Currently reading The Sword of Truth series, this is next on my list though... :)

The Pine Deep trilogy was amazing. I actually prefer them to the Ledger novels but have those as well.

I was given copies of Patient Zero and The Dragon Factory so I've read them a bit more than I have Pine Deep. I have digital copies of Pine Deep now so I want to go back and re-read it but I have some other series that I wanted to get through first. :D

I just recently finished that Trilogy. You are right it did seem to start a little slow but once you are into them they are hard to put down. I thought I read somewhere that they found a manuscript in Larsson's briefcase of a fourth book in the series.

my car got broken into over the weaken and they person took my radio and all the books i had in my back see among some other things and at least 10 were new ... grrr it BLOWS

The White Wolf, book 9 of the Denali. Only this one and one more left!!
Gosh you're awfully slow!!! I guess work has been keeping you busy? You need to tell me what you think of the whole series :) I'm reading Legend now. Totally forgot about the plot 100%. Love my bad memory...every time I re-read a book a couple of years later...it's like brand new :D

HA!! I actually took a little break before i started white wolf. And the druss books were AWESOME, the Waylander ones too. Interested in how the series ends. Was looking over some of his other titles and they sounded pretty interesting as well.

Try Echo of the great song. It's very different from all of his work. It's original in concept and written very well. That was my first Gamell's book. This is a review, though it gives you the plot, so spoiler.

I would have thought you'd want to read the Troy Trilogy by him, lol.

Currently i'm reading 'Pillars of the Earth' By Ken Follet,
before it i read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' just to change from my love for fiction and try to understand finance better, not that my understanding has improved much now :/

I am reading a first edition "Tale of Two Cities." Think I bought a real gem and so I am enjoying it more, now that I know I was fairly teated by the seller.

I read 'Tale of Two Cities' a while back, no maybe 2-3 years ago :P
It was a difficult read, but a good story. It was heartbreaking >.<
my first Charles Dickens novel.

The Loving Dead by Amelia Beamer is an extremely fun and quick read that I highly recommend to anyone. Next up I have Blindness by Jose Saramago
