I simply can not rave enough about Terry Goodkinds 'Sword of Truth' series. Just finished book 8 couple hours ago and will be sad when i'm done with book 11. At least there are 2 seasons of the TV show about it!!

Terry Goodkind is releasing another book in the series, "The Omen Machine", due out early 2011. I can't wait.

I've got all the current SOT books on my phone and plan to re-read the whole series. I've also got the Wheel of Time series on my phone and have started rereading it. What e-reader do you use NA?

I like reading books in the order they are published. Prolugues or prequels tend to give stuff away for later books, which you should have already read. The end of Empire Strikes Back wouldn't have been nearly as cool if you watched Episodes 1-3 first.

IIRC there was nothiing given away at the end of book 3. You know padme (sp?) has a child, (not 2) and I don't think there is any mention of where they are taken. But yes in book 4 you have to assume Luke is the son of Annikin.

I think that's one of the reasons why Michael Crichton was so successful too.

indeed, And you have to look at when CONGO was written, and then read it. the movie from it sucked hard.

I also have Nook and Kindle. I also have Laputa. What is Akido? All I find in the Market is related to the Martial Arts.

Answered in lounge... Thats GREAT news!! Just started book 9, which is the first book of the 'trilogy' as i her it. Was gonna be really sad that is is over. He needs to keep on writing them, lol.

You didn't find anything cause it's called Aldiko (with an "L") LOL
I like it better that laputa for sure, i tried every reader app i could find and while some others had the page count in book i was looking for none seemed as smooth and usable as aldiko. Trying to straighten out my library has been a pain cause i didn't have my files properly tagged but that's not really aldiko's fault. Also found a killer custom catalog in aldiko to download from

It's a great series...it's just that Martin is so damn slow with releasing the next book (dance with dragons) -_-;;; I've been telling people not to read the book until the series is completed. It's a PIA waiting for years and being disapointed when leaked/rumoured release holds no truth.

Thanks NightAngel, I found it after reading your post in THE Lounge. I do like it better than Laputa and am now in the process of importing my bookshelf from Laputa to Aldiko. The only issue is the cover art isn't transferring automatically, but that is not a big deal, I can fix those.

It's a great series...it's just that Martin is so damn slow with releasing the next book (dance with dragons) -_-;;; I've been telling people not to read the book until the series is completed. It's a PIA waiting for years and being disapointed when leaked/rumoured release holds no truth.

I read the first two in the series. To be sure, Martin is a very, very good writer in most respects. He puts more emphasis on character than most other authors do, let alone the Fantasy genre. His dialog is quite good, and he does well with atmosphere. His story is intriguing--or it starts out that way at least. The guy is just dragging it out for as long as he possibly can. Even by the second book, it's obvious a lot of the events exist just to fill pages. It's such a shame, because the guy has talent. For people interested in reading the series, I recommend following Roze's advice: wait until he finishes book 6..or is it 7...or is it 8--I can't remember anymore.

However, if the HBO series is well edited, I may give it a try.

Brent Weeks did say he would eventually revisit Kyle and company sometime after the Black Prism series, though i'm not sure how soon book 2 of that will come out.

Sword of truth is an epic undertaking... and i was COMPLETELY serious when i said that parts of that series(several) have got me all chocked up, excited, fist pumping, and disturbed... I have NEVER been so moved as i was during a part of book 6 (maybe 7)

Useless fact but did you know the series was originally meant to be a trilogy? -_-;; How the heck can you be so off with how long the series will be!!! I'm hoping that it STAYS as a septology...I'll die if Martin breaks a book into two AGAIN!!! A Dance with Dragons was suppose to be part of book 4 (Feast for crows) but it got too long *sigh* So Daenarys' part is basically given its own book. One reason why Feast for Crows seem kind of 'incomplete'.

Been waiting for 5 years and counting for Dance...Amazon is the worst rumourmonger ever! lol...they have changed the date of when it will be released like a handful of times. Not well written, but free. somewhat interesting story, the character of the CEO seems like a composite of the CEO of Google, Oracle, Apple, and Fackbook.

Yea, thats the one.. Way of shadows, Beyond the shadows, and um, something else, lol.
I just simplify it and call it NightAngel. Great action packed read, though Sword of Truth is that and SO much more. I been getting lucky with what i've picked to read lately

In Aldiko there is a 'download books' button. That takes you to various catalogs that have come preassigned in Aldiko (which I believe are just websites formatted to be phone display friendly). Under that you have an option to add your own 'custom catalog', which is just a fancy way of saying you can enter a specific website address.
