What camera do you use with your G3?

The camera on my old G2 seemed pretty full-featured, while the camera on the G3 seems really bare-bones. What camera app do you guys use with your G3's?

I used the stock G3. You want bare bones? Install Google Camera or an AOSP camera. Talk about bare bones. The G3 camera is actually pretty darned full-featured. You just have to dig through the menus to get to all the things it can do. I'm not familiar with the G2 camera and what it could do, but the G3 camera can do the following:

  1. Dual Camera mode - align front and rear cameras in one screen to assemble the objects and the photo-taker into one image or video.
  2. Panorama mode
  3. Magic focus mode - Take a picture, tap the gallery button and change the focus in the picture you just took.
  4. While taking a video, you can take a picture without interrupting the video recording.
  5. Burst mode - take multiple shots quickly
  6. Gesture shots - use hand gestures for selfies.
  7. Cheese shutter - take a photo saying "Cheese", "Smile", "Whiskey", "Kimchi", or "LG".
  8. HDR mode for pictures
  9. Store pictures in internal or SD card.
  10. Timer mode
  11. Grid mode to help with placement of subjects in photo
  12. Laser focus - allows you to take pictures quickly as it uses a laser to quickly obtain the correct focus for taking pictures. Basically, it takes the pictures practically instantaneously. I like that!
I'd say that's pretty full-featured, at least it's better than the Google camera and AOSP camera. Also, the Google and AOSP camera's have been said to suck really bad on this phone. They don't take good pictures at all, so I'll stick with the stock camera which,

Hmm. Well here's the thing. There's no macro mode for close up photos, or night mode. I don't have my old phone any more to compare, but I've successfully taken decent pictures before. But with my G3, any time I take night / dusk pictures outside, they come out horribly. Like, a hotel or restaurant with a lighted sign, the lighted part looks awful.
