What can I do with LauncherPro

Not trying to hijack or anything but is there a way in ADW to change the dock background like in LP? I have the Sense bar background on LP right now and was wondering if ADW supported this, I don't think it does from what I have found but just wondering.
 
i really wanted that them that is in the bottom picture that i posted before but i couldnt ever find it

I would think this should interest most people w/LauncherPro. I have the free version and with this, you can really customize the look of the icons and the dock. Pretty nice. The only downside is the time it takes to get everything (unless you purchase the app to auto-download, which is probably worth it) -- and the time it will take constantly changing the design... Is there a "dock-switcher" in the works?
 
Quick question with LPP. What memory settings are you all using? I have not touched it since installing it, and by looking at the Advanced Options there is not even an option checked.

Should I leave it as is?

I'm using the moderate setting. I haven't really noticed any benefit with going to the high setting.

I set the memory usage to the highest possible setting. I found that this ensures it stays smooth, and we have plenty of RAM on our phones so I just let LP use as much as the system will allow it to (~24mb I believe).

Thanks I just set it to High.

You have had no ill effects from setting it on High with your X I assume?
 
I know this probably can't be done but I was wondering if it was possible to somehow get the Launcher Pro Plus calendar widget to come up like an app using a swipe gesture on one of my dock icons?

I love the look and feel of the widget but I don't want to devote an entire screen to it and have it up all the time. Right now I'm using a swipe gesture on my phone icon to bring up Jorte Calendar and that works fine but I just like the look and feel of the LPP one better.

I'm guessing it's not possible but figured I would ask anyway.

Since it is a widget only you cannot do that.

If you're going to use one of the memory presets start with moderate, try it for a while and if needed go up to the next level. Depending on what you have running on your home screens you may not need to use medium or high.

Roger that. Just rolled it back to moderate. Will see how it runs.

The only thing it will do is use more memory, which is a trade off on how many apps you can have up and ready to go in memory at one time.

So, basically if you rotate between a lot of apps you might notice increased time to switch between them since they're getting killed to free up memory, and they have to relaunch.
 
call me stupid, but I didn't know that by installing LPPlus I was rooting. Didn't know that. Simply downloaded the application and went to work.

Does that mean that the phone is open to potential problems? Will I be able to get 2.2 when/if it ever comes out? I sure like LPP, I hope I haven't screwed the pooch.

Please, someone talk me off the ledge!

Step off the ledge. You're not rooting your phone when you install LPPlus. It will receive the OTA update just fine.

Ha...I didnt know this. I wondered what the swipe action was for, now I do. thanks :)
 
I've heard that if you combine it with a flux capacitor you can travel through time. Just something I've heard. If it doesn't work or you end up with an ugly chick in 1885 don't blame me.
 
I'm having an issue with Launcher Pro Plus, anytime i restart my phone, or have to restart launcher pro all my icons change to a blue screen with a wheel infront of it, the only way i know of fixing it is deleteing them all and then making puting them back on my homescreens, is there anyway to fix this because its really annoying.

and does anyone elses contact widget actually show their contacts pictures? mine doesn't. :(

I suppse you added them by holding the screen and choosing to add shortcuts. This way LP somehow breaks the icons. Instead, try dragging the shortcuts you need from the app drawer.

BTW., does this not fix itself after a few moments from startup?
