What case (if any) is everyone using on their Razr?

I also purchased the VZW power bundle and am using their case. The best part is it still works in the HD Dock (without removing the case).

I stopped by Verizon at lunch and picked up the Shell/Holster combo and was pleasantly surprised that it worked with HD Dock without the need to remove the shell. Didn't think I was going to like the shell however it is growing on me. Very nice so far.

That's the one I think I'm going to get, supposed to fit in the car dock as well. Does it keep a thin profile?

I opted for just a zagg screen protector. However, since the battery life on this thing sucks out loud, I'm now considering one of those mophi juice packs mysef.

It does not.....floats around to much....have to take the case off to work in the dock....pia

That sucks about the Nav Dock and it being loose. It seems to work well in the HD Dock and I haven't noticed it feeling loose. However my desk typically is not moving around too much. ;)

I purchased the silicone case from Verizon and it works perfectly in the nav dock. The only downside is that it doesn't work in the HD home dock without a little trimming. Just take an exacto knife and trim the top opening of the case a little on the back and both sides of the opening and it works great! Just takes a little patience to do it neatly. The silicone case also fits into the holster of the shell/case holster combo that Verizon sells which makes it the best of both worlds IMO. You have to purchase both items separately, but if it works (and it does perfectly) and that is what you want, why not? On another note, I just orderd a new silicone case online yesterday from TPU cases. It is similar to the one that Verizon sells but I believe it is made far superior to the Verizon one and I also think that the top opening is also slightly larger which would allow it to fit the home dock without any modifications. This case just became available yesterday so I don't have it yet but should by th end of the week. i will report back then and let you know if it works without any mods. I have purchased this exact case from TPU cases before and think that it is a great case. It is also free (and fast) shipping. here is the link to the case I am talking about:

I'd definitely get something. I dropped mine on the asphalt and dined and scratched the piss out of mine. I was so mad at myself.

It's perfect, you can toss the holster (who uses those things?) The shell is thin and adds just the right amount of protection. A screen protector completes it.

Bonus - the shell acts as a kickstand.

I picked up the Shell/Holster from Verizon, thought it would come in handy if I needed total protection of the screen if I'm out on a bike ride or hiking, etc... It was a little pricey @ $30, but I get 25% discount still pricey.

Very nice construction, doesn't add much bulk with just the cover, I like how the area for the power and volume are left blank and the top and bottom are exposed. It is a very secure fit, the kickstand feature is sweet for watching videos or desk clock. It had sort of a slippery feel to it when I first opened it, kind of like a silicone residue. I wiped it down and rubbed it aggressively against a towel to remove the residue...has a secure grip in hand.

It also fits in the car dock, so I don't have to take the case off when I jump in my truck! When you remove the plastic insert of the dock to use a case you will notice the phone is a little loose in the dock. I put a small piece of adhesive felt at the base of the dock to take up the space....It's black in color so doesn't look too ghetto and does the trick I'm only showing pictures of the case, not the shell w/belt clip.....left that out in my truck

I found the same to be true with the nav dock and this case/holster..I love the case/holster but don't want to have to take the case off to drop in the dock, could you please post a pic of the nav dock with the felt so I can give that a try?

sure, I'll snap a pic later today.

I just picked up an Otterbox Commuter (most Radio Shacks have them in stock) and it's great. To answer the above question about size after Commuter, it's about 1/2" thick (3/4" thick at the bump).

Good to know. That's thicker than I'd like, but if it does the job, I'll be happy.
