What classics do you keep re-playling?

alostpacket

Over Macho Grande?
So lately I have noticed I am replaying just a few of may favorites, over and over (and over*).

So do you guys and gals do this too?

if so, what do you keep playing. and replaying?

For me (in order of most played)

-Skyrim
-Dragon age: Origins
-ME3 (multi-player)
-Mass Effect 2
-Mass Effect 1
-Dragon age 2
-Fallout 3

* and over.

/so any PC game recommendations?

I replay the Bethesda games... TES 3-5 and the last two fallout games. Though, I don't think I've ever "completed" any of them  main quest lines are not something I partake in too often.

I also find myself going back to heavy rain, dead rising 2, and farcry 3 often. (Not to mention playing Pokemon on my phone :p )

I've heard some good things about The Witcher series as far as RPGs go. I haven't played them myself yet though.

TW2 is great. The combat is a little lacking but it is a good story, and nice graphics / scenes.

I couldn't get into TW1, the graphics and controls bothered me (I first played it recently, and it's a bit dated now).

Waiting for Dragon Age 3 now. Just started a new Fallout 3 playthough...

Well, they're nice, but they are no classics...

ATM I'm playing Gabriel Knight 1 to 3, Police Quest Series, Phantasmagoria 1 and 2... These are true classics ;)

Pacman, Donkey Kong and Galaxian on Android MAME. Students in the school canteen are always intrigued by the noises these games make. Classics that are over 30 years old, and I still play them.

I have MAME with Mortal Kombat II and Killer Instinct on my laptop. :)

Could never get the Android version to work right for the games that I wanted to play though. Guess it's a compatibility issue.

I rarely re play games, I always have a stack of games I haven't played yet that I need to find time to get to. I would like to play through the original Deus Ex again sometime.

This is my problem too. I'm really bad about buying games when I see a good deal, and letting my back catalog pile up. I tend to get really into one game and play it almost exclusively for a long time.

I tend to find one or two games per console that I absolutely love, and play it so many times.

SNES: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Nintendo 64: Both Legend of Zelda Games
PS2: Final Fantasy X
Xbox: Halo: Combat Evolved
Xbox 360: Halo 3.

My personal favorite of all though is Final Fantasy X, though I'm sure I'll get chewed out for that. :p

I liked fable. Unfortunately, I was made aware of a pretty big bug with the economy... which I couldn't help my self around. :/

Same thing happened with Oblivion and the 100% chameleon armor.

Poly Play in Mame. The only arcade coin-op to come from a Warsaw Pact, eastern bloc country.

Ever wanted to know how the commie bastards spent their youth? Well, unlike you western Coca-Cola drinking, mcdonalds burger munching bastards, they didn't spend their times in the arcades... because arcades weren't allowed... and hence so was arcade equipment.
However, in one sector of the communist territory, there was a mild blip, where coin operated videogames had a small market.. and thus was born, the only coin-operated communist party approved video game.. With styling 30 years out of date, and technology perhaps 10 years aout of date, the Poly Play came into being!

Here's the Poly Play ROM that you can play in Mame... enjoy.... http://www.andys-arcade.net/personal/polyplay/polyplay.zip ...It's public domain, so OK to post on AF, and you will not be thrown in jail for downloading and playing it. Haha!

*coughs*

Skyrim resto loop

Yeah I never used that. Seriously though things like that can ruin the fun. But a few nice mods and occasional console command aren't bad ;)

Also I'm not a MAME fan, nor a fan of most old games. But it is really nice to see such diverse gamers here. I didnt even think about those types of games when I posted this thread :)

There's two games that I can think that I've gone back to and replayed multiple times.

The first is Super Mario World. The first game I ever owned.

The second is Halo: CE. I've beaten the campaign solo on legendary 4 or 5 times by now.

I am a huge Halo fan and oddly enough, Halo CE is the only one I haven't done every level on Legendary.

I got massively frustrated at the start of Two Betrayals and haven't ever gone back to it. :(

I've almost finished doing through halo 1 anniversary edition on solo legendary. It's pretty brutal, though I did get through two betrayals using only the weapons you start with in order to get the achievement. It took like 3.5 hours, lol. I agree it's really hard until you get to the first banshee.

Just started a new Fallout 3 playthough...

Wow ALP, great minds etc! I fired up FO3 again myself after nearly two years a couple of weeks back..... now nearly 30hrs in, Level 28 and still to visit The Pitt and Point Lookout. I'd forgotten just how huge the game stage is.

I've also found the PSU for my beloved Sega Megadrive, so I'll be digging out Desert Strike again. :D

I played the hell out of Fallout 3 when I had a Xbox 360. Also, as far as DLC is concerned, it wouldn't be complete without Brotherhood of Steel.
