What color Nexus 5 did you order and how long did it take to arrive? I want to order one that'll ship right away. Thanks!

Thanks. Yea I've heard the same but the only thing I don't like about the white one is the white earpiece circle on the face of the phone

You could be waiting a while for the black variants while the white ones seem to ship quite quickly. I got a white one and I really like it. I even got a transparent case so that I could still see the white back. :D

You get used to it after a few days. If you're using the screen you don't notice it, and its a nice little accent.

If its REALLY bothering you I'm sure you'll find a way to make it black ;)

Ok if that the case and from what hearing that the white one ships faster I might as well get the white one because I have no patience and the anticipation will kill me lol
 
I ordered White 32g and so did a lot of my friends and we all got then fairly quick (although I was last). I ordered at 9:30 on Thurs Nov 7 and recieved my shipping email that Monday and my device showed up on Tuesday thanks to two day shipping. My friend all ordered before 6pm and got theirs before me so I suggest getting the white and ordering before Thurs night. 32g ships faster than 16 if you want the space and have the cash.
 
Hey guys apparently the black 32gb restocked. It changed from " leaves warehouse in 2-4 weeks" to " Leaves warehouse by December 3rd" !! So hopefully ill get an email sooner than later! Wish me luck guys :)
 
Don't worry about shipping times, it simple.

If you're female and/or an Apple fanboi, get the white.

Otherwise the black.

The white is actually a pretty sexy phone. I got one and think it's pretty slick and I'm hardly Apple loyalist. No need for generalizing an entire color as being designed for a group. Everyone should get the color they want.

Are people who use the motomaker apple fanboys as well? :rolleyes:

I went with the stormtrooper look. Reasoning? Every other phone I've owned has been black, so I switched it up and got black/white


Brand loyalty has nothing to do with it, I think we can move on from that.
 
I got the white 32g. It's a very elegant, understated looking phone. Beautiful and excellent. If you get anything on it, someone posted he cleaned his with eyeglass cleaning liquid and it worked and was safe.

Anyway I ordered early morning on 11/1 and received it the morning of 11/7. My initial shipping date was "by 11/22" so I got my phone very promptly before then.

My comment was tongue in cheek, don't take it too seriously. I think the white phone is quite nice, would be better if it was all white IMO, but technically I expect that was too hard.

I personally love the white. Black is so boring, and almost every phone comes out in black. Plus black gives it no character and looks like those low/mid-end phones that everyone has. I also like that it's only half white, because white gets dirty, and it's bright. White bezels make the screen washed out, look smaller, and are harder on your eyes. So I appreciate having the best of both worlds. Also imo the black magnetic ring around the camera looks better on the white, like it was meant to be a cosmetic design. It looks out of place on the black, and kind of cheap. Like they had to add extra material to house the camera, not because they wanted to.

But, it all comes down to personal preference. I for one am a man and HATE apple products.
 
Well I took the plunge, really liked my all white moto x, but just decided to take it back and go with the Oreo nexus 5. Reasoning- with an update going out today for the nexus 5 making the camera better and quicker it was just a no brainer for $399 with no contract.

Back to color, I did an impulse buy and just went with the white and am thinking now that maybe I should have gone with the all black because of the non shiny sides and that cool all black effect. But I'm going to save my final thought until it arrives in a few days and really use it for a day it two before making a final decision. If I don't like it I'll just send it back and grab a black one. Honestly both are really nice, just wish they used the soft touch on the sides of the white one...oh well!
 
How bout my white 32GB that I ordered yesterday with next day shipping said out for delivery this morning, and then I just checked just now and it says left behind in facility and delivery rescheduled? I absolutely HATE UPS and try to avoid getting anything from them. Now I'm faced with either waiting until Monday or going down there and picking it up between 8/9pm tonight? Seriously Google did their job by getting it here so quick and UPS dropped the ball terribly. Oh well, probably just wait till Monday, not driving myself nuts in a packed UPS facility on a Friday night during Xmas season.
