What comes in the box...8gb microSD card???

I searched and i have read 20 different things. I know that the phone will have 8gb's preinstalled. But does that mean 8gb's of internal storage?

Will it also include a separate 8gb micro sd card in the micro sd slot?

Or will that slot just remain empty and require us to purchase a micro SD card if we want?

What are the advantages of having both???

I am asking simple question to try and clear up not only my confusion but possible keep this question from clogging the official thread.

While you are at it what else comes in the box? Just the USB charger like came in my Eris Box?

Yes, 8gb of unremovable, preinstalled memory.

That slot will probably be empty

According to the user manual on the spec thread, it will contain 8 GB of internal moviNAND storage. The manual mentions that it has a microSD card slot. This allows for memory expansion, which would let you have more storage later on if you need it. The advantage to the internal storage, is that is much faster and can possibly be used to store apps, although that has not been confirmed yet.

As for what is in the box, it includes the phone, battery, USB cable and AC adapter, and a few manuals. No free wired headsets or pouches

I agree that it's very confusing. The manual says microSD (sold separately) while the launch guide says microSD (8 GB pre-installed). I don't think we'll know for sure until we get our hands on it.

Verizon's pre-launch packet DID mention a (8GB pre-installed MicroSD card)

But this is very likely miss-information because the person making the packet didn't realize it came with 8GB built in memory.

so theres a small chance it could have both, but probably not.
