Help What do I do to get apps on appollo?

[raffs]

Hi all. Ir ecently replaced my broken iphone with a galaxy Apollo and I cannot do anything!!

I have downloaded Kies and managed to sync my music and some photos but cannot download apps at the android store as I pick a game then when it comes up it is not for that phone, or so it seems.

Is there a real noobs guide anywhere? I cannot seem to find any info. I see here something about rooting an Apollo but the guide does not say what rooting actually is! Is that like jailbreaking the iphone? Where is the apps folder on the phone?

I am sorry if the info is on here but give me a fools pardon as I am so new to this phone.

Thanks for all replies.

You gotta click "Market" on your phone. You'll need a google account to set this up, and when you log in you'll have access to thousands of apps!

Why do most of them ask for certain phones, surely it is largely down to the OS if they will work or not?
