What do you think to the S10+

Doesn't the punch-hole interfere with the status icons? Honestly notch or hole, does an "infinity" display really improve the phone that much?
 
The hole pushes the status icons off to one side, making everything asymmetric (because the hole is off to one side). The double-width one does this more so, and is simply ugly to my eyes.

I personally think that the hole wastes more space than a notch: they leave a strip of display above the hole, but it's not usable so in practical terms you would lose less display if you moved the hole up until it touched the bezel (i.e. if it became a notch).
 
Have you seen the screen protectors with the hole in the middle of them? Talk about ugly to the eyes.

I saw a video about the Dome Glass one though, their's works without the hole in it because they use a wet application that removes the air gap that messes with the sensor reading.

I have used them before on my other phones and they work way better than the other ones I tried.
 
I pre-ordered the S10+ from Samsung. At almost 80 years of age my old eyes and unsteady hands need the larger display. Also, I use Bluetooth to stream from my phone to my hearing aids. That consumes a lot of battery, so I need the larger battery on the S10+. I'm trading in my Pixel 3 for $550. I'm going to miss the camera, but the Pixel 3 was just too small for me.
 
I have been using it since March 5th and I love it. It's much lighter than my S8+ and the Clear View Samsung case is so much slimmer than the previous models.
So far the battery is really good. With GPS on and streaming media while driving, some instagram and e-mails, I have plenty to spare at night when I reach home.

For the first time I haven't install 3rd party launcher. Being able to reorganise the dock buttons and remove app drawer button is a big plus. Also ability to change the grid number of apps is something I have always use Nova Prime for. Ans of course, I love the fact that I can remap my BIXBY button. It will not allow you to fully kill it, but at list you can map a single press to app of your choice, the double press for BIXBY.

There is also new app exclusive to S10 models, the BIXBY Routines, which is similar to TRIGGER or TASKER just much easier to use. There are still some features that could be improved, but I like the fact that Samsung has finally developed a native automation app.

What else. The camera is really good and the new wide lens is amazing with covering a huge amount of space, making a group photo from a close distance really easy, without cutting off anyone's legs!
Face recognition is lightning fast, I just flip the cover open and the phone is unlocked. I use the finger scanner as well but it's not as fast, as I usually have to press it twice to get the right angle.

Overall really glad I did the upgrade from 8+. Really liking the phone.

By the way, I do miss the LED notifications a lot. Due to nature of my work my phone is ALWAYS on mute mode, and the light was great indicator I had something going on. Now I have to manually pick up it and check at random.
Pity they couldn't stick the LED in the speaker or something.

Hang on, are you actually saying that the previous Samsung UI didn't let you reorganise the dock buttons? I mean the last time I used a Samsung launcher it was an Android 4 version, and lasted less than 2 minutes, but I know other manufacturers' stock launchers I've used have always allowed this.
 
best phone ive had but the one issue i do have with it is that because their is no flashing light for notifications its annoying that i have to check checking my phone to see if i have any. but overall defo a 8/10

SebaKL, it sounds like you could answer a question about Bixby Routines, which I just started using yesterday on my S10. For starters, I have created four simple routines whose only purpose is to turn a combination of settings on or off. For example, when I'm at home I have Wifi and Bluetooth on and Cellular Data and Location off. When I'm driving, I have Wifi off and Bluetooth, Cellular Data and Location on. There are a couple of others. My question is, what is the best way to run these routines. I have an icon for each on my home page, and I tap the icon to run the routine. This works, but then it tells me that the routine is On or Off. It seems like "On" implies that it is still running. These routines aren't the type that should be continually running - I just want them to run once, make the desired settings and stop. Can you explain what they are doing if they are On?
 
I love it. The punch hole is a non-issue and MUCH less obtrusive than any of the "notch" phones. The cameras are stunning.

The Edge Lighting and Always-On Display feature (which shows notification icons) makes me not miss the LED at all. Battery usage seems to be minimal with these features enabled.
