What do you use your EVO for?

Where do I start, other then make calls:
1) Slingplayer to watch my Red Sox where ever I'am
2) Pandora to stream music to my bluetooth headset
3) Gmail ummm to read email
4) Evernote to keep those fun facts in one place
5) GPS I stink at sense of direction
6) Facebook to keep in touch with family in other states
7) Weather Channel I love the animated radar
8) Qik to take video of grandkids and post directly to Facebook
9) eBuddy to chat with family and friends
10) PDANet to tether to my MacBook Pro
11) Orb to stream videos, pics, mp3 to the phone
I think thats good enough..

What don't I use it for?

-GPS and google Nav rocks.
-Pandora was awesome before Froyo screwed it over.
-The 4.3" screen is awesome for watching shows and movies on. I watch them at the gym on machines that allow for it.
-The music player (mixzing) and 10 gb's of music are awesome and used all the time.
-Good for phone calls.
-Great for texting with Swiftkey keyboard.
-Updates on news, sports, etc...
-Use of multiple apps for all kinds of things every day. Games, Shopping, Calculator, gas prices, restaurant recommendations, etc...
-Lightning Bug for surf sounds to put me to sleep at night.
-Alarm clock in morning to wake me up.
-Flashlight at night for heading up stairs to go to bed (everyone else is asleep).
-Browse internet and have access to info whenever you need it.

I absolutly LOVE this phone. From here out I'll stick with whatever phone is Android, has a 4.3" screen, good service plan, and fair cost. For now that is the EVO on Sprint's network. :)

I use mine for music, movies, forums, and I also run my Private Investigative service from my EVO. With all the call recording software and video camera software it comes in very handy. Plus I have the mobile hotspot feature activated so when I am out on surveillance, I have internet no matter where I am. I love my EVO. Let's see what HTC will have in storew for us by the end of the year.

@jonwlewis, on an unrelated note, your sig says you are using Sprint Hero, but your Device says HTC EVO. Just in case you didn't know. :)

I have two of them and I smash them together to crack walnuts. :)

Seriously, though, I use it the same as I've used any other smartphone - phone and internet. Nice thing about the EVO is the much larger screen so it's much easier to use web-content and the speed - not just 4G but the processing of content, which used to drag forever on my ancient Blackberry.

Pandora at work
Text, FB, internet at home
Music, Pandora, GPS nav. in the car
Weatherbug, music on the lake
Camera

Oh yea, and the phone

What do I use my EVO for? ...
Hmmmmmm ...
Well it's easier to tell you what I Don't use it for.
Eating
Showering and Shaving
Wiping my ass
...
Yup other than that, I use my EVO for everything.

I have only had mine for less than a day. I am going to use it for both business and personal use. Lots of web browsing on the go. Keeping up with the peeps on twitter and facebook. Talking pictures and some video. Thats a good enough start.

today I'm testing out using it for tethering with pdaNet. my speedtest with the server in chicago (I'm in dallas) was 6.2 down and 1.0 up. using 4G of course.

I'm gonna test it all day, and think about dropping road runner ;)

I use it for the same things I could use my iPhone for:

Web Surfing
Playing on Facebook
Checking into Foursquare
Music

and for the same things I couldn't use my iPhone for:

Texting
Calling
Continuing to talk during a conversation without interruption
Widgets
Prettymuch whatever else I could think of

Mostly I used my Evo as a media player.

I also use the phone on a regular basis as a:

1. GPS device.

2. Information (Looking for nearby restaurants etc, wondering what song is playing on ther radio, out of the blue questions that won't leave my mind, research, etc.)

3. gaming device (I'm addicted to WSOP :D)

4. Networking

5. Weather

6. TV (Sprint TV, TV.com and You Tube)

7. News

OMG, I rely on my Evo more than I thought! :D

Calling, facebook, internet, texting, flashlight, youtube, games.. obviously there is more.. haha but thats what i use most.
