Help WHAT DOES LOS look like

Wanted to know what Loss of signal looks like.
I had a warning come up on my phone today about roaming/data loss when I was on the dolph browser. I did no see the 3g on the task bar either. This was in my home on wifi. Not sure why data loss would come up under this on wifi.
I followed the warning on the task bar and it went to 3g settings. It was checked. So I unchecked it and then checked it. Turned the phone off for a while then back on and it's fine..

A complete loss of signal will show a circle with a line through it, like a "do not enter" traffic sign.

I haven't had that problem.... For me, I often show anywhere from 1 to 6 bars of signal as well as the "3G" icon (usually not roaming, but occasionally), but the up/down arrows below the 3G icon are not illuminating thus, email, web pages, etc will not load. So, its almost like the Epic Touch has a signal but wont do anything with it. In addition, The phone does appear to have weak signal in general, particularly data. Its very frustrating at times. I had the EVO 4G for 15 months, and it NEVER roamed or had any data signal issues. Although the Epic Touch seems to have data signal issues, I haven't dropped a call in over a month.. so voice is good. Which is what keeps me hopeful that they can do a OTA software update to fix the data signal issues I'm having.

I don't have this. I have week reception and then it goes into Roam. I get a warning when this happens. I have to go in and turn 3g off then on again. This seems to fix it for a short time. Happened to me three times today at home only

Newer Samsung phones don't play nice with Sprint. The Nexus S had awful wifi/signal issues and I returned it after a week. However, I haven't had any problems with my ET4G yet, signal has actually been pretty good. Wifi is kinda weak though.
