Iv been looking through a lot of forums and apps and i have noticed that for some apps to work your phone needs to be rooted.. What exactly does this mean??

Rooting your phone means Gving Supper permission to your phone to do awesome things. It lets you do things that normally you couldnt do on your phone !! But now you can do !! Root is kind of like JailBreaking if you are iphone user.

Are there any risks to rooting your phone?
What kinda things can my phone do once rooted that is different when it is unrooted? and how do i go about doing this?

Sorry for a million and one questions aha.
