Root What does the new s/w do?

are you on metro? if so, don't bother. just takes it back to stock. not really an update. due to the root it takes it back to v10b and the "update" brings you back up to v10d, which is what the metro phone shipped with. At least I am pretty sure that is accurate.
 
I haven't applied v10d so I don't know what it entails but updates from metro are usually something small like a tweak. Like to the data connections or gps stuff like that. Most likely you'll barely notice.
 
Interestingly mine isn't finding any update. I am on 10b and even checking for updates manually doesn't seem to do anything. I rooted once and still remain so. Do OTA updates come in batches to customers at different times perhaps?
 
I have two of them on T-Mobile and both received recent updates, bringing the version to 20h.
 
This is very strange. My wife's l9 hasn't got one either but I used the fota.apk and no more prompts. So I guess I'll leave well enough alone.
