What eMail Client Do you use

ZoSo925

Newbie
Im not too thrilled about the standard email client. I have my own Domain/POP3 and I sometimes can get email, but sometimes the program just lags out and Im afraid I lost email. Stuff disappeared on both Android and my POP Server side.

What are some good programs?

Maildroid...I had major issues with the app that came with the phone. I have never had a problem with Maildroid. I still use the yahoo mail app for my yahoo acct but for work email, Maildroid is the way...

I used the stock app from Aug 31st to Sept. 1st..

K9 every since for me... I hav 7 email accts on it & love it...

I downloaded and will try out this K9 program. There is a chance I may just use the web based SquirrelMail my domain provides but i'll mess around.

Sprint will be releasing the FroYo/2.2 update for the Epic 4G soon. In it are updates to the default email client and functionality. You may want to check that out before you download and use a 3rd party client. Just my two cents.

glad to hear they're improving the stock email client- i haven't been thrilled with it at all so far, especially coming from a Blackberry. i wish 2.2 would 'officially' arrive already!

Moxier Mail is good, but not free ($24.99). For syncing Exchange, (or any ActiveSync compatible mailbox), it works well and syncs mail, contacts, calendar and tasks.

IMO, Android email sucks. Nothing on Android comes close to Blackberry, WebOS or iPhone email clients. You'd think they could spend some more time on improvements in this area.

gSyncit also syncs calendar, contact, notes, and tasks. It is very configurable and cost $19.99. The cloud is so much nicer than activesync, for sure.

The K-9 email client is free.
