What firmware to go to from Checkrom v6?

Hey guys,

I love checkrom v6, especially the jkay deluxe lockscreen with the 6 shortcuts on it. I get amazing battery out of it just from using SetCPU (I dont even both using juicedefender any more), however I get a massive lag when using my bluetooth headsets (when i switch form bluetooth to handset or vice versa it has about a 8-10 second lag, and when i answer on bluetooth it lags for 5-6 seconds). Also, sometimes the screen doesn't turn on at all so I have to hard reset the phone.

I don't do much with my phone besides call, message and email, so I just want a ROM thats as reliable and battery saving as checkrom v6 but doesnt have the bluetooth lag and screen issue.

Any advice is appreciated!

IMHO there is nothing, at the moment, to match CheckROM v6. This speaking as someone who only recently switched to ICS after about 5 months on CheckROM.

Have you tried going into CWM Recovery and clearing Dalvik cache and using Fix Permissions to see if that helps with your problems?

You could also try re-pairing your BT with the phone.

Also, depending on your SetCPU settings and whichever kernel you are using, this could cause random re-boots/freezes. Personally, I ditched SetCPU in favour of Voltage Control from the Play Store and ExTweaks for the Siyah kernel.

Thanks for the response.

Will clearing Dalvik cache affect anything else? And how do I 'fix permissions'?

I've re-paired the BT with the phone. I've tried different kernels and modems so that's not the issue. I might try Voltage Control instead of SetCPU, thanks for the advice :)
 
when i came from checkrom v6 i tried a hell of a lot of different ics roms and all seemed to have issues or annoyances except vk rom and neat rom. Id suggest doing full wipes and trying one of them for now.
 
I am gonna go back to CheckROM V6 until V7 is out.. I have tried all the ICS ROMs and none of them are as nice as CheckROM, it's really annoying me as i'm getting all sorts of issues and horrible scrolling
