what fishing reel?

On a 7' medium action rod.

A) Pflueger President 6740x.

B) Pflueger President 6735x.

Will be using the reel on a 7' medium action rod.

Will be fishing in a dam and possibly the souris river, will be fishing for large and small mouth bass, walleye, and perch.

I have never personally used plfuger reels, but do love my Abu Garcias. sorry i am no help.

Ok the specs are for the 6740x 30" 12.03 oz, 12 lb test line 175 yards..

The 6735x is 27" 11.02 oz , 10 lbs test line 120 yards.

I would try them on the rod you are buying and buy the one the balances best. Lots of guys buy a reel that is to big, but you don't want a dinky one either. Also consider the line you will be using.
