What happened to my Pie?

Moto g6 play on Boost Mobile....

Yesterday it tried to update to Android 9, but sadly th?tre wasnt much storage... so I deleted some things, but now it's saying when I go to update that it's up to date, though it's still running Android 8 on Feburary security patch. Ive tried everyting, even using the pc app to flash it and factory reset. But I notice there is no way to reset the security updates? I"m just wondering what I am doing wrong...

I have the exact same problem, except I'm on Spring (Boost G6 Play phone). I went to make some space, and somehow the window you use to update disappeared. Now showing I'm up to date with Oreo. I'm not sure I'll get around to going to a Sprint store, nor do I trust them to not lose all my data. Maybe the update message will appear again.

Is the Moto g 6 even in line to get Android pie? I had both the E5 Play and Plus, within weeks of getting them , it was revealed that the E5 Play and Plus wouldn't be getting Android pie.
While the E5 Play has gone to the great phone place in the sky, the E5 plus is still going strong as my daughter's gaming phone

Do a factory reset, then try again. I know a reset can be tedious to setup again but you'd need to do it anyways after such a large OS update to prevent leftover files and bugs. If that doesn't work out, just manually flash the FW in bootloader mode. Done.
